Oregon Electrical Continuing Education Information
General Supervising Electricians (S) and General Journeyman Electricians are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every 3 years. Click here for the due dates and specific hour requirements for all license types in Oregon. These courses are approved by the state of Oregon. Once you complete a course, we will report your hours to the Oregon Building Codes Division.

Do you report my hours to the Oregon Building Codes Division?
Yes, we report all continuing education results to the Oregon Building Codes Division on a daily basis (not weekends).
Do you provide me with a certificate of completion when I finish the course?
Yes. Once you complete and pass the continuing education course, we will email you the completion certificate.
What do I do with my certificate of completion?
The certificate is for your records. We will submit the hours to the state for you.
Do you renew my Oregon license for me?
No. After you complete your continuing education, you will need to pay the Oregon Building Codes Division the renewal fee, as we cannot do that for you.
Do you offer any live, in-person continuing education training in Oregon?
We do not currently offer live training in this State. We find that most students prefer to complete their courses on their phone, tablet or computer.
If I purchase one of your online Oregon continuing education packages, can I complete one of the courses now and the other courses during the next renewal?
Yes. As long as our courses are active (and not expired), you can complete the courses over multiple renewal periods.

Do you still still offer physical booklets?
As of January 2026, we no longer print and mail booklets directly to students. This effort provides students immediate and convenient access to our online and correspondence (where available) courses, without having to wait for mailed copies.
