Professional Development Hour (PDH) Requirements

Ohio engineers are required to complete 30 PDH every biennial renewal cycle.  The expiration date is December 31 of odd-numbered years.

The state Board does not approve continuing education courses or providers.  There is no limit to the number of hours that can be completed through online courses.  A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.  Here is the link to view the acceptable list of qualifying activities in Ohio: http://www.peps.ohio.gov/ContinuingEducation.aspx

Courses must cover material which is technical, ethical, or managerial content relevant to the practice of engineering.

There is no limit on the number of PDHs that can be earned through online courses.
