Professional Development Hour (PDH) Requirements

Mississippi engineers are required to complete 15 PDH every year by December 31st.  At least 2 PDH must be earned in Engineering Ethics every three renewal cycles.  Courses must have a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the registrant’s field of practice in engineering.

You may take all of your hours from online or correspondence courses.  A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.

Course Content

Any qualifying course or activity with a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the registrant’s field of practice in engineering. For all engineers, at least 2 PDH must be earned in Ethics training during three renewal periods.

Online/Correspondence

There is no limit on the number of hours that can be earned through online or correspondence courses.
