Professional Development Hour (PDH) Requirements

New Hampshire engineers are required to obtain 30 PDH biennially. The deadline is based on your month of birth and year of initial licensure (see chart below).

The Board does not approved continuing education providers or courses. The Board lists a number of acceptable continuing education activities, including online and correspondence courses. The Board requires courses to cover material that is technical, ethical, or managerial in nature and the activity pertains to the practice of engineering.

There is no limit to the number of hours that can be completed through online courses. A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period.
